Driver's meeting will be held at 9 A.M. We will start the drive at approximately 9:30 AM. The drive is approximately 122 miles. I expect us to complete the drive in 4.5 hours. Please ensure you start the drive with a full tank of gas as there is no gas station at our rest break and limited gas stations near the Virginia Diner. I have included below a link showing our route .

We will be stopping for a refreshments/break at the Jordan Point Golf Club ( http://www.virginiagolf.com/jordanpoint.html ) once we cross the James River. This will probably be about 10:30 A.M. There The Jordan Point Golf Club snack bar is normally not open until 11 A.M. However, they will open early for us. What type of snacks/drinks would you prefer? Coffee? Soft drinks? Pastries? No guarantees they will have your preference. However, I will let them know your preferences for planning.

Our luncheon stop is at the Virgina Diner in Wakefield. I recommend you consider what you may want to order for lunch. It will speed things up. You can look at the luncheon menu at http://www.vadiner.com/diner.asp?SID=389022

Time permitting, we may have a short stop at the Historic Jamestowne Settlement site located on the Colonial Parkway just after we cross the James River via the Jametown-Scotland Ferry. http://www.historyisfun.org/Historic-Jamestowne.htm

If you desire hotel accomodations near the end point (Yorktown), there is a Courtyard Marriott, Hilton Garden Inn, and Hampton Inn within 3 miles of my home. All are near I-64 at the Victory Blvd exit (Exit 256B).
